Hoteps don't know they're hoteps

“The hotep” is Black American comedic gold. By that I mean, any time you see a hotep, you know you’re about to laugh. A hotep is a Black person who talks like an intellectual—hoteps think they’re brilliant—but they’re not actually smart. They didn’t actually read the book, they read the pamphlet, but they pretend to have read the book and the footnotes. But they don’t know that they’re not smart—they don’t know that they’re hoteps. The hotep is not in on the joke. They think they’re spitting hot fire but we’re laughing at them and their tricknowledgy.
