Cassie testified that she had a ten album deal. That’s nothing less than a paper prison. That’s a highly unusual number of albums to owe the label—most record deals are for three to six albums. I checked and, that number was unusual at Bad Boy, as well. So in an industry where young artists are routinely given exploitative deals, Cassie got one that was extremely exploitative.
