Last Night The Obamas Rebuked Trump and Trumpism And Told Us Hope Is On The Way

They are the best orators in the Democratic Party today

Last night the Obamas laid out a powerful rebuke of Trump and Trumpism, that hateful, pessimistic, angry energy he's brought to America.

Barack likened him to the obnoxious neighbor running his leaf blower by your window all day long.

Michelle spoke of the affirmative action of generational wealth to speak to the blindness of thinking that affirmative action is only for Black people and to the gluttony of billionaires and the insanity of growing up on third base and thinking you hit a triple.

And Michelle spoke powerfully of the return of hope, which linked Kamala's campaign to Barack's 2008 campaign, which was all about hope and change.

They went beyond policy to talk about character and values.

We heard so much about mothers because it's mothers who teach us values.

We heard about Kamala as the neighbor who rushes to help.

And the politician who will be thinking about you.

Both of them gave speeches that rebuked Trump-ism and reminded us that when they go low, we can still go high.
