Prince met his first wife Mayte Garcia when she was 16 years old. He was 32. They were at his concert in Barcelona. Her mother had gotten a videotape of Garcia belly-dancing to Prince because the girl had dreamt of marrying him. Because of that tape, she ended up backstage. According to her memoir he said, “I like your tape. Are you really 16?” She said she was. Then Prince, a 32 year-old man, said, “Well, I'd like to talk to you more. Can I get your number?”
