Diddy held Freak Offs regularly and they often lasted several days and involved multiple sex workers, according to the indictment. People were coerced into engaging in lengthy sex acts with sex workers. These acts were directed and recorded by Diddy. During the Freak Offs Diddy gave drugs to the participants to keep them compliant and obedient. Afterwards, Diddy and participants received IV fluids to recover. Participants often did not know that Diddy was filming and retaining those videos as collateral to ensure people’s silence and obedience. When law enforcement raided his homes, they recovered more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube. Diddy subjected people to physical, emotional and verbal abuse to force them to participate. He threatened people’s careers if they refused to participate. People believed that they could not say no without risking their job or their entire career, as in Diddy ruining their chances in the music industry if they didn’t do what he demanded.
