There’s been a lot of great videos about the election—some have great ideas, some are ridiculous.
Joy Reid points out how the discussion—the anger—about how some Black and brown folks voted is missing the point. Trump was elected largely by white people.
This frightening image reminds me how Trump emboldens racists and misogynists to be bullies. He really encourages the worst impulses in people.
This made me laugh so hard.
This Hispanic family of Trump voters is wild. The parents came to America illegally as teenagers but now they vote for Trump because of his immigration policies even though they have undocumented family members here.
This fool really thought he was down with the MAGA community. “I never thought the leopards would eat my face.”
This fool voted for Trump early. He believes men are being forgotten.
Eddie Glaude rejects the idea that this is about the economy.
This is a good way of putting it.
This important essay explains how there’s a global trend of unseating incumbents, from the right and the left, because voters globally are upset about high prices.
Chris Hayes with a sober perspective: it wasn’t that bad for Dems.
People still think like this???
I spent a lot of time this week arguing about the pro-Palestinian protest vote. Many Americans find it hard to understand why these folks couldn’t see that Kamala was better than Trump. Arab-American voices are clear on why they could not vote for what they and many others consider genocide.
My own video on this.
This Democratic Trump voter tries to explain why she voted for Trump. It does not go well.
Of course a big part of this was misogyny. A lot of people will not vote for a woman.
