  1. Why Diddy Will Be Convicted: To prove a RICO case, prosecutors must show that the defendant committed at least two predicate offenses. Predicate offenses are specific crimes that help a criminal enterprise function. Predicate offenses include drug trafficking, sex trafficking, kidnapping, bribery, extortion, arson, witness tampering, obstruction of justice, and more. We have heard examples of all of those offenses. The government needs to prove two and they’ve already laid out eight. To recap: He kidnapped Capricorn Clark to get Cassie back. He arson’d Kid Cudi’s car. He had Cassie bribe her friend Kerry Morgan to remain silent. He acquired drugs illegally, by having at least four other people acquire it for him in their names and he gave those drugs to people like Cassie and Mia. That’s drug trafficking. He extorted Cassie for $20,000. He attempted to witness tamper when his bodyguard called Mia and offered a bribe. He sex trafficked Cassie. He transported sex workers to engage in prostitution. This is not hard to see.
